Prescription Services
Regular patients with stable chronic conditions can request repeat prescriptions with a brief review consultation. We can also dispense most medications at our in-clinic pharmacy or deliver via our Fisherman's Village pharmacy. If you are on a medication from your home country, contact us in advance — we will advise on the Thai equivalent if available.
International Health Insurance for Expats
We strongly recommend all long-stay expats hold comprehensive international health insurance. Providers we regularly work with include BUPA International, AXA, Cigna, and Allianz. We can assist with direct billing for covered services.
Retiring in Koh Samui: Health Considerations
If you are planning to retire in Koh Samui on a Non-Immigrant O-A visa, we can provide all required medical certificates and ongoing primary care. We are experienced in the health needs of older expats and provide age-appropriate screening and chronic disease management.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get my UK/European prescription filled in Koh Samui?
Not directly, as Thai law requires a Thai prescription. However, our doctors can review your existing medication history and prescribe the Thai equivalent. Bring your prescription or medication packaging.
What if I need a specialist I can't get on Samui?
We have referral networks at Bangkok Hospital Samui and major Bangkok hospitals (Bumrungrad, Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej). We can arrange referrals and provide all necessary medical records.
Can you help with mental health services?
Yes. We can provide initial mental health assessment and refer to appropriate psychological and psychiatric services. Please speak with our doctor at your appointment.
How do I get my regular medication if I'm running out?
Contact us via WhatsApp or visit the clinic. Established patients on known medications can often have prescriptions renewed with a brief consultation or even by telemedicine.
