Koh Samui Home Clinic provides digital X-ray services on-site at our clinic. Whether you have had a fall, a scooter accident, a suspected fracture, or need a chest X-ray for a visa or insurance requirement, we can assist quickly and affordably.

When Might You Need an X-Ray?

  • Injury from a fall or scooter accident — to check for fractures or dislocations

  • Chest X-ray for visa medical certificate (Thailand retirement visa)

  • Suspected chest infection or pneumonia

  • Chest X-ray required by insurer

  • Joint pain following trauma

  • Pre-employment or insurance medical examination

Our X-Ray Service

Our digital X-ray equipment produces high-quality images reviewed by our doctors immediately. For complex cases or specialist reporting, images can be sent electronically to radiologists for expert review.

X-Ray and Radiation Safety

Diagnostic X-rays use a very small amount of radiation. The benefit of accurate diagnosis far outweighs the minimal radiation risk for most patients. We always use the minimum radiation dose necessary. Pregnant women should inform our doctor before any X-ray.

Fracture Management

If an X-ray confirms a fracture, our doctors will provide immediate management including:

  • Immobilisation with splint or cast where appropriate

  • Pain management

  • Referral to an orthopaedic specialist for complex fractures

  • Documentation for insurance claims and evacuation if needed

Can I get an X-ray without a referral at Samui Home Clinic?

Yes. You can walk in for an X-ray. Our doctor will assess you and order the appropriate X-ray. Chest X-rays for visa purposes are also available by appointment.

How quickly are X-ray results available?

Digital X-ray images are available within minutes. Our doctor will review them with you at your appointment.

Can I get a copy of my X-ray to take home?

Yes. We can provide a digital copy of your X-ray images and the radiological report for your records and for your doctor at home.
